“It’s a nice place, straightforward to get to from downtown, and has a fantastic roster of teachers and dance styles. I’ve been learning from Orb and Stepz and I think their teachings have contributed greatly to my relationship to dance and music. I also really enjoy Wednesday soul city sessions! On top of all that, I think the Beacon just does a fantastic job of being there for the culture - they’ve been the venue for all kinds of battles, events, and every staff member is an active member of the larger dance community. Truly an important space and one to be treasured.”
